NON TRADITIONAL RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT

The Family Resource Counseling Center prides itself on being a resource in the West Los Angeles area providing services to meet the needs of clients and their families. Adjacent to Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, it is a private practice therapy office that provides services for infants, children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. A variety of educational and support groups are also offered for parents and adolescents. Other services include testing and assessments. An onsite psychiatrist is available by appointment. Nontraditional Residential Treatment programs are designed with alternative approaches for recovery. These programs use incentives for participation and managing responsibilities. Teens work on developing respect and compassion. They can improve communication skills, cooperation and interactions with peers and authority figures. Nontraditional residential treatment programs have been beneficial in treating anxiety, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders (depression and bipolar), behavioral difficulties (delinquency and violence), other mental illness (schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, receptive or expressive language disorders, personality disorders (borderline, narcissistic, dependent, schizoid), post traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse recovery (drug and alcohol). It has also been helpful with major life changes such as environmental trauma, divorce, grief and loss, etc.
