The Family Resource Counseling Center prides itself on being a resource in the West Los Angeles area providing psychological services to meet the needs of their clients and families. Adjacent to Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, it is a private practice therapy office that provides services for infants, children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. A variety of educational and support groups are also offered for parents and adolescents by our competent staff of psychologists and therapists. Other services include testing and assessments. An onsite psychiatrist is available by appointment. Please look at our entire web site for more information about our comprehensive list of psychotherapeutic services.

The Family Resource Counseling Center provides services to the youth and their families providing supportive assistance in making the transition from a residential treatment program as smooth and successful as possible. In less severe cases, families may not have to consider residential treatment centers. In either case, the Family Resource Counseling Center offers individual and family counseling services that will focus on your families unique needs. Also, we offer a wide variety of group counseling for teens, including drug and alcohol recovery and eating disorders. The links below are provided to assist you in contacting an educational consultant.

Crisis hotline services are available in an emergency to provide support and access to valuable resources in a time of need. People volunteering or answering crisis hotlines are professionally trained to address the concerns of those who call. Many crisis hotlines are provided for life threatening situations requiring immediate and knowledgeable responses. Crisis hotlines are an invaluable service: Become familiar with them before you need to use them!

Crisis Hotlines may direct you to appropriate services in the community including mental health professionals, support services, and resources. Often times, self-help and support groups will be appropriate as they can provide ongoing assistance following a crisis. Groups address concerns such as abuse, incest, drugs, alcohol, depression, codependency, smoking, financial matters, rehabilitation, eating disorders, relationships, personal growth, suicide, anger management, bipolar disorders, grief and bereavement, school, parenting, aging, cancer, disabilities, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, agoraphobia, other phobias, and almost any concern that may be encountered in life.  The groups will offer the necessary support and guidance following a trauma or crisis situation. Individuals can find a group tailored to fit their individual needs. Sometimes family and friends are unavailable or ill-equipped to offer sufficient help, and this is where crisis hotlines are invaluable resources, directing you towards services in your community.
