FOUNDING STAFF
Lexi Welanetz, Psy.D. is currently providing psychotherapy and assessments in private practice and at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She specializes in the treatment of addiction, eating disorders, trauma, relationships, mood disorders and chronic mental illness. Dr. Welanetz developed and supervised onsite counseling programs for students at University and Del Rey high schools. In addition, she offers services as a certified Psychology of Money Consultant to improve clients' abilities to be financially successful.
Sara Abbot, Psy.D., counsels young children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She facilitates social skills groups for children, healthy development classes and is a certified infant massage instructor. Her past experiences include working as a clinical therapist at 1736 Family Crisis Center outpatient facility & women’s shelter and the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic. She is an ongoing volunteer for Bienvenidos child, adolescent, and family centers. Dr. Abbot is a certified elementary education teacher.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE STAFF
Dr. Michael Collins is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Hermosa Beach and Beverly Hills. Additionally, he facilitates adolescent recovery groups at the Family Resource Counseling Center. Dr. Collins created a program that combines traditional psychotherapy with the twelve-step treatment model. This program applies to clients in all stages of recovery as they begin to explore and understand addiction as it relates to living sober. In addition, Dr. Collins has experience with issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-harm. His past experience includes two years of training at the Saturday Center for Psychotherapy and internships at West County Counseling Center, 1736 Family Crisis Center and El Camino College.
ASSOCIATE STAFF
Meghan Moody, Psy.D., is dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults develop healthy and meaningful relationships with themselves and others. She has a private practice in Calabasas and is a supervising associate at the Family Resource Counseling Center. Dr. Moody offers a comprehensive array of services including group and family therapy, as well as individual and couples therapy. She has expertise in the areas of childhood trauma, ADHD, parenting, addiction, eating disorders, grief, anxiety, and depression. She combines her experience and passion for working with teens and young women by offering a Body Image and Eating Disorder group. Dr. Moody's past experience includes two years of in-depth training in various psychoanalytic perspectives at the Wright Institute Los Angeles, the Family and Play Therapy Program at the Julia Ann Singer Center, and the Homebound Program at the San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center.
PSYCHIATRY
Dr. Glasser is providing Psychiatric Evaluations and Treatment in private practice. He specializes in providing medication and other treatment options. He works in close communication with many other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care to the individual and family. His interests in children and adults include the medical treatment of ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Depressive Disorders, Anger Problems, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Enur/Encopresis, Substance Related Disorders and other emotional problems. |
